An Itinerary for Goechala Trek
Day 1: Arrive at NJP station/Bagdogra Airport and take a cab to Yuksom which will be a 6 to 8 hours drive. Rest at your base camp for the night.
Day 2: Trek towards Yuksom to Sachen. You will be trekking through a forest, keep taking breaks in between.
Day 3: Next, trek from Sachen to Tshoka (9,700 ft) via Bakhim, a steep 5 – 6 hour climb.
Day 4: Today you will trek from Tshoka to Dzongri via Phedang. Keep hydrating yourself at regular intervals since it will be a strenuous ascent.
Day 5: Once reached Dzongri, take some time off to acclimatize yourself. Go for an early morning hike to Dzongri Top for sunrise views.
Day 6: On day 6 you will trek from Dozongri to Thansing. You will descend into Prek Chu Valley.
